What is Jumbodeal ?

Jumbodeal is an eCommerce website dedicatedly meant for sellers and buyers of refurbished items. What they wanted to offer was a simple yet informative solution for their target customers who would like to buy refurbished items starting from gadgets to household furniture. Green Apex offered them their customized web development services that catered to all the needs of Jumbodeal.

Abstract

The idea of Jumbodeal was to target customers who would usually go for refurbished items. They wanted to make the availability via an online platform. When they got in touch with us, we thoroughly analysed their idea, discussed the same and eventually broke it down into requirements.

Jumbodeal needed three interfaces – seller, buyer and admin. As per their requirements, the three interfaces, on the high level, would look the same but their functions would be completely different. Green Apex implemented the idea at the same time added some extra value through additional features on the basis of their previous experience.

Challenges

Adding more than one item to Cart

If user selects any particular item and wants to add more items to the cart, then they should be able to do that. Managing that was quite hard and challenging. Our developers managed this scenario by comparing Database value with cart ID and thus cart was managed.

Manage Payment Transaction

As per website payment scenario, we integrated payment gateway for transaction. At the time of development it worked fine but while moving the code from staging level to live, we encountered defects. However, our in-house team successfully fixed the issues in time.

Solution

Building three different interfaces with completely diverse functionalities was a little bit of a challenge for Green Apex Team. However, the experience of our Web Developers helped us not only get through the development process but add extra value via new-age features. The solution took us nearly three months of time to complete.
