What is Kult ?

Kult. had come into the market with a mission to lead the Skincare Industry. Hence, they need a website that would make the stand out among the diversity of the market. Green Apex offered them a e-Commerce solution that catered to every need of their target customers.

Abstract

Kult. caters to the beauty needs of customers. Their aim was to supply their products across the country as well as provide beauty regimen to its customers. However, managing an inventory of all the offered products and maintaining a track of ordered items were their biggest concerns. When they approached us, we realised their vision and the associated challenges based on our previous experience of developing a similar system and offered an even better solution specific to their unique business needs.

Kult. needed a website that would enable its customers to browse their products, gain a detailed insight on their beauty tips, and order the prescribed products. It might look like a straightforward solution, however, diving deep, we realised what they required was a little more than that. Hence, we offered them a highly featured eCommerce solution with customized features to make it stand out among others.

Client Requirement

The requirements looked pretty simple at first. However, as we analysed them further, we realised that it was not only a front end solution. They required order tracking features as well as needed to integrate their existing database with this new system. Hence, together we broke the high-level vision down into simpler requirements:

  • Ability to run regular scans on inventory data to check for new additions/updates
  • Ability to track and cancel orders on users’ behalf

  • Keeping track of payment information

Challenges

Expandable View

Whenever a user selects any beauty product from the menu, it displays all information about it. Each product contains related items, suggestions and tips. Managing the expandable view was challenging. Our developers overcame this scenario by managing flag (0,1) counters that dynamically manages expandable view as per the data.

Web Development
Cart Management

If user selects any particular item and wants to add more items to the cart, then they should be able to do that. Managing that was quite hard and challenging. Our developers managed this scenario by comparing Database value with cart ID and thus cart was managed.

Client thought the project would take hardly a month of time. However, that was before we had discussed the vision in detail. They were ready to shell out more in order to attain the complete solution but they were a little particular about the deadline.
