Imagine you have a social networking platform for sharing the best of food recipes with people across the world? Won’t it be a food lover’s paradise? Myfood.guide offers you precisely the same. It enables their users to share pictures and recipes of their own advanced food solutions from the comfort of their home and network with like minded foodies across the world.Green Apex offered them a unique solution that catered to all the needs of their target customers.

Abstract

The concept of a Recipe Sharing Social Media Platform was unique and challenging. It was the first food related platform that we had to create. Even though at first glance it seemed like a straightforward solution, we did not want to make it trite. Hence, we analysed the functionalities of similar food apps and websites only to understand the way they work. In addition, they wanted the social networking features. So we decided to blend all the features in a way that they receive the best of both.

Myfood.guide wanted a blend of food recipe sharing and social networking features. Our Web Developers brainstormed a solution that matched their vision and when we presented them with the prototype, our client was quite happy with the overall solution.

Myfood.guide wanted to target the food lovers and makers of the world. Also, they wanted to integrate the chatting and networking feature only to make the app more appealing. Together we discussed and analysed the requirements to come to the following conclusions.

Challenges

Sharing on other social media platforms

Our client wanted to let their users share their recipes on other social media platforms. It was a little tricky, however, our developers put extra effort to brainstorm a solution and implemented the same.

Integration of geo-location feature

The filter based on geo-location for searching recipes was challenging. However, we did our research for the same and found the solution without bringing any delay into the overall delivery of the project.

Like we mentioned at the beginning, it seemed like a challenging project. However, going by our history, we did not back out from taking on the same. We put extra effort to understand the technicalities of the business, the client’s vision, and their expectation from us. Accordingly, we offered them a solution and subsequently, built a prototype.
